Minnesota has launched its Large Building Energy Benchmarking program, which will be collecting energy use data from commercial and multi-family buildings across the state. The program is managed by the Division of Energy Resources at the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
Buildings larger than 100,000 sq ft will be submitting energy use data to the state by June 1, 2025, and this program will expand to buildings 50,000 sq ft and larger the following year.
The program kick-off includes a series of information webinars in March, April and May. Registration links are available on the Large Building Energy Benchmarking website.
